Summit Fire Protection Acquires FireGuard LLC, Strengthening Fire Protection and Life Safety Services Across Omaha Region
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA – Summit Fire Protection Co., a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc. (“Summit Companies”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of FireGuard in Omaha, Nebraska effective April 7, 2026. The transaction was structured as a purchase of substantially all of the assets of FireGuard, LLC.
Founded in the 1990s, FireGuard is known for delivering comprehensive, end-to-end fire protection solutions, including system design, installation, inspection, and maintenance, serving a diverse range of industries such as healthcare, education, and industrial facilities. Its team of certified professionals brings deep industry expertise and technical knowledge, ensuring all systems meet applicable regulatory standards and local fire codes.
With decades of experience, FireGuard is recognized as a trusted partner for commercial and industrial clients, offering specialized capabilities in fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, special hazard suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting solutions.
FireGuard was owned by Getz Fire Equipment Company which acquired the company in 2022 and brought additional resources to enhance FireGuard’s ability to serve customers across Omaha and the surrounding area.
