Summit Fire & Security Expands Oregon Presence of Umpqua Valley Fire Services
RENO, NEVADA – Summit Fire & Security LLC, a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc. (Summit Companies), is pleased to announce the acquisition of Umpqua Valley Fire Services, Inc. in Roseburg, Oregon, effective September 30, 2026. The transaction was structured as a purchase of substantially all of the assets of Umpqua Valley Fire Services, Inc.
Founded in Roseburg, Oregon, in 2005 by two lifelong friends Doug Schulze and Earl Pennington, Umpqua Valley Fire Services has built a strong reputation throughout western and southern Oregon. The company began in Schulze’s garage and quickly grew over the years through a series of acquisitions – A-1 Fire Protection in Springfield, Bay Area Fire in Coos Bay in 2011, and Roley’s of Grants Pass in 2024.

Today, Umpqua Valley Fire Services operates from locations in Roseburg, North Bend, and Springfield, and provides a comprehensive range of fire and life safety services, including fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, kitchen fire suppression, backflow testing, cylinder hydro-testing, and emergency lighting.
